Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Superior guest relations skills and the ability to answer guest inquiries about the Resort.
• Proper phone etiquette to take to-go orders.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to clearly speak, write and understand the English language.
• Able to multi-task in a high volume and high demand work environment.
• Able to learn and understand dining room and menu offerings.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, and assist servers as needed.
• Liaise with management regarding inordinate guest flow, special requests/occasions, and customer feedback.
• Responsible for overall greet and goodbye ceremonies.
• Warmly welcome guests, seat guests and bid a fond farewell and invite for a return visit.
• Use organization skills to run a waitlist, gauge the kitchen, servers and overall dining room performance; determine where guests will be seated.
• Ensure that large group's requirements are met, including services needed for small children, as well as for individuals with disabilities or food allergies.
• Inspect and maintain the arrival area, doors, windows as well as menu covers and inserts.
• Multi-tasking in a high volume and high demand work environment.
• Understand the dining room and menu offerings.
