About The Position

The Host will be responsible to coordinate the flow and service of our restaurant guests. This role involves managing guest seating, handling reservations, answering inquiries, and supporting the service staff to ensure an efficient and positive dining experience. The position requires effective communication, the ability to work independently, and adherence to hotel and service standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
  • Ascend and descend a ladder

Responsibilities

  • Seats guests and manages the flow of reservations to maximize the guest experience.
  • Answers phone calls and answers guest inquiries.
  • Takes, tracks, and organizes reservations, group seating requests, and any other special requests as needed.
  • Completes to-go orders.
  • Approaches guest and collects information needed to assist with seat and bar arrangements.
  • Communicates effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form.
  • Works independently.
  • Follows and enforces all hotel standards.
  • Assists the service staff in the service of food for the guests.
  • Ensures service is more efficient and timelier and guarantees the best possible dining experience for the guest.
  • Completes opening, closing, and side work.
  • Sets up food carts and stations for service.
  • Communicates with and supports all staff to better serve the guests.
  • Delivers food and beverages to guests in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Expo build tickets on food and kitchen line.
  • Monitors each guest's dining experience.
  • Pre-sets tables for dining and clears tables for the next course.
  • Is knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients in relation to common dietary restrictions.
  • Maintains a clean dining area.
  • Ensures all equipment is in operational order and all supplies are up to par.
  • Reports equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
  • Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Follows 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follows safety and security procedures.
  • Works cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Follows all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
  • Adheres to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Follows all additional duties as assigned by management.
