About The Position
Walden Community Improvement Association is looking for a Host/Greeter. The Host provides a warm, professional welcome to members and guests of the Walden Yacht Club Restaurant. Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, answering basic questions, coordinating table availability with service staff, and maintaining a clean and organized entrance area. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, well-groomed, and committed to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required. The ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset and aims to deliver high-quality service in every customer interaction.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in dealing with the public
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to address complaints and issues with a positive attitude
- Passion for delighting customers with above and beyond service
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
- Dependable
- Well-groomed
Responsibilities
- Meet, greet, and seat customers in the restaurant.
- Advise customers on the menu and extensive wine list.
- Act as expert to ensure information given to customers is accurate, up-to-date and rewarding.
- Maintain a clean and organized entrance area.
- Manage reservations and waitlists.
- Answer basic questions.
- Coordinate table availability with service staff.
