About The Position

We are looking for dynamic, passionate individuals to join the Front of House teams in one of our largest and most iconic venues at Fairmont Banff Springs - 1888 Chophouse & Grapes. As a Host or Food Porter, you will play a key role in creating exceptional first impressions and delivering seamless service experiences in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Requirements

• Must have Pro-Serve Certification for Alberta prior to your start date
• Previous experience in a high-volume and fast paced hospitality environment is preferred (experience required is dependent on position)
• POS system experience an asset
• Knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a love for all things food and drink
• Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
• Host - Previous food and beverage experience required of 1 year at least
• Porter - 6 months previous food and beverage experience required preferably in a fast paced luxury environment and comfortable carry 3 plates at one time.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Meet, greet and seat guests and maintain daily floor plans to suit forecasted guest and staffing levels
• Transporting food from the kitchen to the dining room in a quick and efficient way
