About The Position

Baker's Cay Resort in Key Largo is seeking a Host/ess to create a warm and welcoming experience for guests. The role is a guest-facing position in a fast-paced hospitality environment, serving as a first point of contact and helping guests enjoy memorable dining experiences. The successful candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to service excellence.

Baker's Cay Resort is an oceanfront property with tropical landscapes, modern amenities, and ocean views. The resort emphasizes nature-inspired experiences, kindness, and hospitality. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Pre-employment drug testing and a background check are required; the employer participates in E-Verify.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests warmly and courteously.
• Escort guests to their tables and keep seating arrangements organized.
• Provide menus, answer guest questions, and make recommendations.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to support timely service.
• Assist with reservations and manage the waiting list.
• Keep the host/hostess station clean and organized.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues or complaints.
• Maintain professionalism and high standards of service.
