About The Position
This is a full-time Host/Cashier position in Food Services at Community Hospital. The role involves preparing and assembling food items, serving meals to patients, maintaining the dining area, operating the cash register, and monitoring inventory. The position requires one year of customer service experience in a food services or retail environment and a ServSafe certification or Food handler’s Card (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire). The anticipated compensation range is $16.50–$18.98 per hour. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Additional compensation may be available based on performance and other eligibility requirements. The position requires relocation to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work. Requirements
- One (1) year of customer service experience in a food services or retail environment preferred.
- Current ServSafe certification or Food handler’s Card (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Serve meals to patients at their bedside, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
- Set up and maintain the dining area, including replenishing food stations and ensuring proper presentation.
- Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
