Host and Cashier Restaurant- Full Time, Ice Cream Cart (Harrah's Atlantic City)
About The Position
This is a full-time position for an Ice Cream Cart at Harrah's Atlantic City. The role requires consistently demonstrating superior customer service skills, maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The host/cashier will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing lines, recognizing VIPs, and ensuring guest satisfaction. They will also promote loyalty programs, maintain knowledge of menu items, and act in a professional and courteous manner. The position involves performing station and side work checks, voiding checks as directed, and assisting with administrative duties. Occasional non-union restaurant duties may be assigned. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods and read and write English. The pay rate is $23.06 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Outstanding public relations skills and outgoing personality.
- Typing and adding machine skills.
- Prior experience as cashier preferably in hospitality industry.
- Mathematical abilities: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to make change for guests.
- NJ CER LICENSE REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Entertainment background or restaurant experience a plus.
- Knowledge of MICROS system preferred.
Responsibilities
- Immediately greets and seats guests with a smile and initiates the execution of the “great service experience”.
- Responsible for seating and rotating lines while recognizing and developing rapport with our VIP’s and AEP’s.
- Performs “satisfaction checks” when not seating guests.
- Oversees duties performed by the Restaurant Service Personnel to ensure fast and efficient turnaround of tables.
- Entertains guests and creates a fun-filled environment by circulating throughout public areas of the facility as assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of all menu items and other pertinent information regarding the outlet.
- Promotes Harrah’s and acts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Exhibits a positive, outgoing personality.
- Performs “station” and “side work” checks, voids checks as directed by policy and assists with administrative duties as assigned.
- On occasion, may perform non-union restaurant duties as assigned.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have ability to read and write English.
- Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.
