Hospitality Customer Service Specialist
About The Position
The Arc Erie County is seeking a Hospitality Training Specialist to lead an exciting workforce development program that prepares individuals for entry-level careers in the hospitality and event industry. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on training in banquet service, customer service, event coordination, and workplace professionalism while helping students gain real-world experience and confidence. From classroom instruction to supporting live events and building employer partnerships, you’ll play a key role in creating career pathways for future hospitality professionals.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Hospitality or a related field
- 2 years’ experience in hospitality, banquet service, event planning, training, or workforce development
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- A passion for mentoring, teaching, and helping others succeed
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging hospitality and event service training
- Develop lesson plans and track student progress
- Coach students individually and in group settings
- Build partnerships with local businesses, employers, and community organizations
- Coordinate volunteer, internship, and employment opportunities
- Help students prepare for and participate in real events, banquets, and special functions
- Support recruitment efforts and grow program enrollment
