About The Position

The Hospitality & Safety Specialist supports both clients and staff to promote health, safety, and a welcoming environment throughout the organization. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan preferred
  • Crisis intervention experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed
  • Strong written, verbal, in-person, and virtual communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in structured environments
  • Ability to establish relationships through phone and in-person interactions
  • Ability to follow direction, work independently, and accept feedback

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting all clients, visitors, and staff promptly, courteously, and professionally
  • Provide assistance, directions, and information to support ease of navigation and comfort
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues effectively to ensure a positive experience
  • Contribute to maintaining a therapeutic, welcoming environment that supports transformation
  • Conduct ongoing threat assessments and enforce safety measures
  • Monitor the environment and intervene in unsafe situations
  • Respond to emergencies and apply crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques
  • Support and promote a safe work environment for staff, clients, and visitors
  • Continually assess and enhance the perception of safety, respect, and belonging
  • Participate as an active member of the treatment team
  • Attend and contribute to required meetings, including shift changes and staff meetings
  • Support operational needs such as data collection, program evaluation, and other initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Leadership Team
  • Function in accordance with operational guidelines and professional code of ethics
  • Engage in ongoing reflective practice and self-regulation of behavior and emotions
  • Participate in staff development and performance evaluation processes
  • Demonstrate and promote trauma-informed care and crisis intervention best practices
  • Model professionalism and positive behaviors at all times
  • Foster a culture of belonging through cultural awareness, respect, and sensitivity
  • Build strong relationships with clients and staff through empathy and communication
  • Support a sense of community, respect, and connection throughout the facility
