About The Position

This supervisory program is geared towards college students pursuing a degree from an accredited institution that will support a career in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Food & Beverage, and Recreation industries, offering valuable leadership and management experience. The approximate dates of this internship are May 15th 2027 through August 7th 2027. Upon completion of the application, your resume will be reviewed and qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a virtual interview process. Students will be selected to intern at one of the following properties: The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, Hershey Inn and Suites, Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, The Chocolatier, Devon Seafood + Steak, Hershey Social Restaurant, Hershey Country Club, or Hersheypark Camping Resort in one of the following concentrations: Food and Beverage, Guest Services, Recreation, or Housekeeping.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be actively enrolled in Bachelor's program at an accredited institution, majoring/minoring in Hospitality & Tourism, Food & Beverage, Recreation, Sports Management, or other related field.
Students graduating in May 2027 will be considered.
Must be willing to obtain lifeguard, CPR and first aid certifications upon employment (Recreation Interns Only).
Strong customer service skills.
Proven leadership skills with an understanding of conflict resolution and problem solving.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Abide by appearance standards and be able to maintain hospitality standards for the assigned property.
Ability to maintain composure in a fast paced environment.
Keyboarding skills and computer literacy.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and summer holidays.
A flexible work environment requires adaptability to demanding/fast pace, noise and various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in a hospitality setting highly preferred.
Some positions may require a valid Driver’s License to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily dining room and service operations within our restaurants, banquets, or concessions operations.
Gain hands-on exposure to various aspects of food and beverage management, including floor service execution, staff training and scheduling, and inventory management, while executing guest service standards and standard operating procedures.
Utilize guest communication and hospitality skills to elevate the dining experience and optimize table turns.
Assist in leading front-of-house guest operations at one of our premier resort properties.
Train with and help manage core guest-facing teams - including Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Services, Greeters, and Drivers - while proactively maintaining elite service standards, resolving guest inquiries, and overseeing VIP room deliveries.
Lead daily resort activities and aquatics operations.
Help lead a team of recreation members, manage daily opening and closing procedures, and assist with weekly team meetings.
Understand vital technical and safety skills within a resorts pool space, including aquatic management and pool chemical calculations.
Assist with coordinating recreational programming and drive guest engagement by facilitating daily activities ranging from arts and crafts, sporting events, and fitness requests to youth programs and Hershey Products Costume Characters.
Serve in a supervisory capacity to oversee the daily cleanliness, maintenance, and comprehensive management of our resort guest rooms.
Supervise a daily staff, ensuring safe working practices, and enforcing department, company, and union regulations at select properties.
Inspect guest rooms for elite cleanliness standards, identify engineering challenges, handle guest opportunities, and train employees on proper cleaning procedures and chemical safety.
Support operations directly by assisting housekeepers with room turnovers, answering guest and employee inquiries, and utilizing Property Management Systems and departmental software to update room statuses, log maintenance work orders, and manage reports.
