Aramark at High Point University is currently accepting applications for the Hospitality Internship Program! The Hospitality Internship Program will offer hands-on learning in the various hospitality disciplines within Harvest Table and the Jana and Ken Kahn Hotel. The internship position is an opportunity for HPU Hospitality students to be employed in the industry. The real-life work experience combined with a student’s academic experience will better prepare students for a career in hospitality. Selected interns may select to rotate through various disciplines including hotel front office & housekeeping, food & beverage, culinary, special events, and administrative functions such as accounting, human resources, and operations management. Alternatively, an intern may opt to focus on one or two specific disciplines based on career areas of interest. In addition to the department specific work experience, interns can expect to receive training and development such as Tips certification, SERV Safe certification, attendance at property meetings and participation in special projects. Accepted interns will be required to complete 160 hours; 80 hours with the Kahn Hotel and 80 hours with Harvest Table. Aramark management will work with the selected interns on scheduling the required work hours over one or more semesters. We will give first consideration to those candidates who wish to complete the entire 160 hours. Internship candidates will be required to complete the Aramark application and interview process. This includes applying for the position through the Aramark Career site, agree to complete a satisfactory background check, complete necessary new hire paperwork and attend an orientation session.
