About The Position

This internship is designed to develop your skills and competencies to thrive in the fast-paced world of hospitality and contract food service. You’ll work closely with leadership within your sector and account, gaining exposure to operations, marketing, guest services, sales and catering, problem-solving, innovation, and client relationship management. As an intern, you will be working closely with Compass Group leaders to develop skills and competencies to be successful in your prospective industry. You will gain valuable experience in any of the following areas: operations, marketing, administration, guest services, problem solving, planning and implementation of innovative projects, and client relationship skills. This internship involves hands-on experiences which will provide opportunities for your personal success and development.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university or technical program to receive college credit
  • Possess an interest in learning, observing, and practicing a variety of experiences in our industry
  • Demonstrate awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences and client relations
  • Provide operational support across front-of-house, back-of-house, catering, marketing, and administrative functions
  • Support the execution of operational standards and contractual commitments
  • Assist with financial activities, including profit & loss and loss prevention
  • Help ensure safety, quality assurance, and compliance with food safety standards
  • Participate in associate learning and development initiatives
  • Gain experience in people management, including scheduling and time management
  • Assist with inventory management and loss prevention
