About The Position

The Hospitality Associate is responsible for food preparation, cashier duties, and maintaining the cleanliness of the concession and retail areas. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of Seneca Gaming and Entertainment’s policies and procedures, NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, and SGA Tribal Internal Control Standards.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
Good math skills.
Positive personality with ability to work closely with customers.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service experience.
Previous food preparation experience.
Previous retail experience.

Responsibilities

Opening and closing concession and retail areas, including setting up supplies, operating equipment, and restocking products.
Applying understanding of food handling techniques and standard kitchen procedures.
Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards.
Learning and performing kitchen duties, including cooking hot and cold food according to recipes and temperatures, counter service, and cashier duties.
Managing cash drawers and ensuring accurate accounting of all daily monies generated.
Assisting guests with menu and product selection and answering inquiries.
Selling and promoting products, applying product knowledge, and providing excellent customer service.
Assisting in inventory of products.
Handling quality control responsibilities, emphasizing portion control and presentation.
Operating large volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, and charbroilers.
Assisting guests as needed.
Attending all departmental meetings and in-services.
Performing other duties as assigned.
