About The Position

Provides support and assistance to Nursing Department and staff. Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.
  • Ability to learn infection control techniques.
  • Ability to be patient, compassionate and polite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • None required.
  • Six months experience in a long-term care or hospitality environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Makes residents’ beds.
  • Labels resident clothing and belongings, completes resident inventory of belongings list.
  • Distributes personal and facility laundry.
  • Passes meal trays and offers basic tray set-up.
  • Serves food and busses dishes in the dining room.
  • Transports/escorts residents to areas within the facility, e.g. dining areas, activities, resident care conferences, etc.
  • Assists residents to interact with activity programming.
  • Stocks resident supplies.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • May perform duties as a front desk screener to include: Takes temperatures of all employees and visitors and asks screening questions as outlined by the CDC.
  • Grants health screen passes or denies entry as needed.
  • Cleans and sanitizes thermometers, pens, or other screening devices or supplies.
  • Monitors visitors waiting for screening to ensure proper distance is maintained.
  • May distribute personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
