The Hospitality Aide provides non-clinical support to residents and staff in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living facility. This role is essential in ensuring residents' comfort and well-being by assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing excellent customer service. The Hospitality Aide works closely with the nursing team to enhance the quality of care and create a warm, home-like atmosphere for residents. Key Responsibilities: Resident Assistance: Assist residents with non-medical tasks such as making beds, delivering meals, tidying rooms, and ensuring personal items are within reach. Provide companionship to residents through conversation and engagement in recreational activities. Help residents with dressing, grooming, and hygiene-related tasks as needed, under the supervision of nursing staff. Escort residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the facility. Meal Assistance: Assist with serving meals to residents and help with setting up meal trays. Provide support to residents during meals, ensuring they are comfortable and have everything they need. Monitor residents’ food and fluid intake and report any concerns to nursing staff. Environmental Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of resident rooms and common areas, including changing linens and emptying trash. Assist with light housekeeping duties, ensuring that residents’ living areas are clean, safe, and pleasant. Stock supplies in resident rooms, common areas, and nursing stations as needed. Resident Comfort and Support: Respond promptly and kindly to resident calls for assistance, ensuring their comfort and safety. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, particularly those who are lonely or have limited mobility. Assist in maintaining a positive and welcoming environment by interacting with residents and their families in a respectful and compassionate manner. Team Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, therapists, and other departments to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care. Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing team immediately. Participate in resident care conferences and team meetings as requested.
