About The Position

Deaconess Hospital is seeking Hospitalists for its Gateway, Midtown, and Henderson locations. This is an established program with over 53 employed Hospitalists, running for approximately 23 years. The role involves 12-hour shifts, with a day shift available from 8 AM to 8 PM. Full-time commitment is 180 shifts per year, or 15 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling options. The average number of admissions varies by location: Gateway handles 14-16 patients per day plus cross-coverage/codes after 8 PM and round-robin admissions from 8 AM to 4 PM. Midtown manages 16-18 patients per day, with cross-coverage/codes after 8 PM. Henderson cares for 10-14 patients per day, with cross-coverage/codes after 7 PM and round-robin admissions from 7 AM to 3 PM. There are two Nocturnists per night at Midtown and Gateway (8 PM - 8 AM), and one Nocturnist per night at Henderson (7 PM - 7 AM). The referral base includes ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers. Robust subspecialty support is available, and procedures are not required.

Requirements

• Must be a Hospitalist.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Commitment to 180 shifts per year (full-time) or 15 shifts per month.
• Willingness to work day shifts (8 AM - 8 PM) or nocturnist shifts (8 PM - 8 AM or 7 PM - 7 AM).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospitalist role.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist services at Deaconess Hospital (Gateway, Midtown, Henderson).
• Manage patient admissions, averaging 14-18 patients per day depending on location.
• Handle cross-coverage and codes after designated hours.
• Admit patients via round-robin admissions during specified hours.
• Collaborate with robust subspecialty support.
• Work 12-hour shifts, with day shifts available from 8 AM to 8 PM.
• Fulfill 180 shifts per year for full-time employment, or 15 shifts per month.
• Participate in nocturnist shifts as required (8 PM - 8 AM at Midtown/Gateway, 7 PM - 7 AM at Henderson).
