About The Position
We are seeking a Hospitalist to provide onsite coverage from August 6-10, 2026. This locum tenens position involves managing an adult inpatient population with an average daily census of 14 patients. The role includes clinical duties from 8 AM to 6 PM and on-call responsibilities from 6 PM to 8 AM, with a call ratio of 3-6. The hospital is a Level IV trauma center utilizing the Epic EMR system. Temporary privileges are available with an emergent credentialing timeline.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Kentucky (KY) license
- Active DEA license
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite hospitalist coverage from 0800-1800 including call duties
- Manage adult inpatient population (100% adult, 50% geriatric) with an average daily census of 14 patients
- Cover a single ICU bed as needed
- Respond to beeper/phone call coverage when not onsite
- Provide care in accordance with hospital protocols
