About The Position
Ellis Medicine is seeking an experienced Hospitalist to join our Hospital Medicine team at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Advanced Practitioner to become part of a well-established and collaborative Hospital Medicine program. The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced clinician with strong multitasking and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced inpatient setting and enjoys working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active New York State Medical License
- Active DEA Registration
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high-quality inpatient care
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior Hospital Medicine experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients
- Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare team members
- Participate in care transitions and discharge planning
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and consulting services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Demonstrate leadership, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making within scope of practice
