About The Position
This is a per diem Hospitalist position with the Northern Nevada Medical Group (NNMG) in Reno, Nevada. The role offers a flexible swing shift schedule, requiring a minimum of 4 shifts per month, from 2 pm to 10 pm. It is a collaborative environment with a supportive team culture, located near Lake Tahoe. The position utilizes Cerner EMR and does not involve on-call duties. The ideal candidate is an experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate looking for a healthy work-life balance in a desirable outdoor region.
Requirements
- Board Certified APRN or PA-C
- Minimum of one year experience out of training
- Active or eligible Nevada medical license
- Live locally in Reno or the nearby area (out-of-state candidates will not be considered for this opportunity)
- This position is not eligible for J-1 or H1-B visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with supervising physician
- Perform clinical assessments within the scope of licensure
- Perform initial history and physical exams
- Document care using Cerner
- Care planning and reassessment
- Patient and family education and counseling regarding diagnostics, treatment plan, and medications
- Complete billing and query responses in a timely manner
