About The Position

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time Hospitalist (Nocturnist) Physician to join their team at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center in San Diego, California. This role involves night shifts (7 on/7 off) from 8pm to 8am, with admitting responsibilities from 8pm to 4am, capped at 8 admissions. The hospitalist will provide cross-coverage for approximately 30 patients on service. The position is within a well-established hospitalist division at the most comprehensive medical center in the South Bay, which serves the communities of Chula Vista, Otay, and Eastlake. Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center is a 449-bed facility offering a wide range of services, including cardiac care, advanced cancer treatment, orthopedic surgery, and labor and delivery. The medical center utilizes the EPIC EMR system-wide, has a closed ICU with 24/7 in-house intensivist coverage, and fosters a collaborative team approach to hospitalist care.

Requirements

• Physician with Hospitalist experience
• Willingness to work night shifts (7 on/7 off)
• Ability to manage up to 8 admissions per shift
• Ability to provide cross-coverage for approximately 30 patients
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is implied by system-wide utilization
