About The Position

This Hospitalist position with National Wound Physician Group focuses on wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians provide bedside wound care, conduct weekly rounds, and utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies. The role offers significant clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance, with no nights, call, or weekend responsibilities. Comprehensive training and a wound fellowship are provided, enabling physicians to become experts in wound care. This is a mobile practice within a 40-60 mile radius, visiting 2-3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20-30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Become an expert in wound management.
Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
