About The Position
HOSPITALIST Catholic Health(CH) was founded in 1997 to oversee the Diocese of Rockville Centre's healthcare organization, which now includes six hospitals, three nursing homes, a regional home care, and hospice group and a community based agency for persons with special needs. More than 15,000 staff and 3,300 medical professionals work within the CH system. St. Charles Hospital is a 243-bed, acute care community hospital located in Port Jefferson, NY. Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- ACLS/BLS Certified
- Trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice

Responsibilities
- Provides and manages the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients alongside an excellent ancillary staff with a Rapid Response Team.
- Provides full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services.
- Attend monthly Hospitalist Meetings.
- Get involved in quality as well as Patient Experience committees.
- Be able to work in a team environment.
- Be able to provide high quality care.
- Manage an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients.
- Adapt and be flexible to new CMS regulations.
