About The Position

The Physician provides direct patient care and is responsible for patients. The role requires adherence to applicable National Patient Safety Goals based on the level of patient contact. The Physician evaluates and manages patients, maintains complete and timely medical records, and participates in quality improvement and medical management activities. The Physician also directs staff to support an efficient team and helps ensure the practice's fiscal viability. The position may involve physical demands and respiratory fit-test requirements, as well as exposure to workplace hazards and challenging environmental conditions.

Requirements

• Oklahoma MD or DO license.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly evaluate and appropriately manage each patient, documenting information completely and promptly through written notes or dictation.
• Accurately identify relevant medical issues and use appropriate procedures and testing.
• Complete and maintain problem lists, medication lists, disease-management forms, preventive-maintenance flow sheets, and other medical-record forms.
• Participate in quality-improvement and medical-management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee.
• Provide direction to staff members to support an efficient and smoothly running team.
• Ensure the fiscal viability of the practice.
• Comply with applicable policies and procedures.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate to the level of patient contact.
