About The Position
INTEGRIS Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) Gastroenterologist to join their team at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. This is a full-time employed position with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The role involves providing 24 ED call coverage, including inpatient consults and surgical cases as needed. The physician will be onsite for rounding, inpatient intakes, and surgical cases, with on-site and after-hours call responsibilities. Weekend coverage is also part of the role, with emergency onsite support available. While EUS and ERCP are not required, they are preferred. The position is for general GI experience, and the youngest patient seen will be 16 or 17 years old. The EMR system used is EPIC, and the hospital has 334 licensed beds.
Requirements
- Oklahoma MD or DO license
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology (GI)
- General GI experience required
- Ability to work 7 days on, 7 days off rotations
- Willingness to provide 24 ED call coverage
- Experience with EPIC EMR system is a plus

Responsibilities
- Provide 24 ED call coverage, including inpatient consults and surgical cases as needed.
- Work 7-day on/7-day off rotations, with weeks starting Monday morning and ending the following Monday morning.
- Be onsite for rounding, inpatient intakes, and surgical cases as needed.
- Provide on-site and after-hours call coverage.
- Cover weekends with emergency onsite support as needed.
- Perform general GI procedures.
- See an average of 16-17 patients per day, including 6-12 new consults and 8-12 follow-up consults.
- Average time to round is 2-4 hours, with 15-30 minutes per patient.
- Handle an average of 7-8 call-backs per 24-hour period.
