About The Position

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join their growing Hospital Medicine team as a Hospitalist at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. This is an opportunity for a physician who enjoys practicing high-quality inpatient medicine in a collaborative environment while maintaining an outstanding work-life balance. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, and is part of Hartford HealthCare, a large, integrated healthcare system in New England.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
• Eligible for unrestricted DEA and Connecticut Controlled Substance registration
• Excellent clinical, communication, and collaborative skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care

Responsibilities

• Practicing high-quality inpatient medicine
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Teaching and mentoring medical students and residents (opportunities available)
