About The Position

Jefferson Health is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Hospitalist Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team at Washington Township Hospital. The Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for a physician seeking to maintain an active inpatient clinical practice while working a reduced schedule.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Valid New Jersey medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Active DEA and CDS registrations.
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program with hospital-based clinical experience.
Strong clinical judgment and commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provide direct inpatient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of hospitalized patients.
Participate in patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, including Rapid Response Team activations and Code Blue situations.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the development of clinical protocols and best practices.
Mentor and supervise medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers, as applicable.
Support the Hospital Medicine team in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
