About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal or Family Medicine physician to join their Hospitalist program in Crown Point, Indiana. This is an established program known for great patient outcomes and high physician satisfaction, with a strong, collaborative relationship with hospital administration. The ideal candidate will be an Internal Medicine physician with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, possessing exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to build strong community ties. The physician will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal or Family Medicine physician.
• Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required.
• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required.
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Upon Hire Required.
• Ability to perform procedures: central lines and intubations.
• ACLS required.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years at ACGME accredited faculty or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient volume of 16-20 patients per day.
• Run codes.
• Perform procedures including central lines and intubations.
• Work in a limited ICU setting, with all admissions requiring Pulmonary/Critical Care Consult.
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with specialists for strong collegial support.
