About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospitalist Physician to join our growing inpatient team in the heart of rural Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity to practice broad-spectrum hospital medicine while making a meaningful impact on the health of our community. Our Hospitalist team provides comprehensive inpatient care in a collegial environment that values teamwork, communication, and physician leadership. Physicians work closely with experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), nursing staff, specialists, and hospital administration to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of hospital medicine while enjoying the professional satisfaction of serving a rural community where providers truly make a difference.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care.
- Collaborate with a physician and APRN hospitalist team.
- Manage an average physician census of 15–18 patients.
- Provide coverage for Medical/Surgical Inpatient Units, Swing Bed Program, and 8-Bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
