This role provides comprehensive patient care across the Emergency Department, ICU, Medical/Surgical, Cardiology, Step-Down, and Post-Surgical ICU units, including admissions, rounds, consultations, and discharge management. The Nurse Practitioner will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests, EKGs, and radiologic imaging, under the supervision of the attending physician. They will also perform procedures, conduct device interrogations, and manage complex arrhythmias and medication regimens. Coordination of rehabilitation services, home health care, follow-up care, and post-operative management is essential to ensure continuity of care. The role involves stabilizing patients requiring advanced cardiovascular or trauma life support and coordinating transfer to specialized care when necessary. Participation in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients across the lifespan is also a key responsibility. Other duties as assigned.
