About The Position

Overview UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Hospitalist NP or PA to join our team in Sioux City, IA. UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being. Hospitalist APP schedule is 7on/7off 14-16 clinical shifts per month 12 hour rounding shift – 7a-7p 10 hour swing shift – 2p-12a Open ICU with Intensivist available to consult Specialists include: Ortho, Neuro, Cardiology, ID, Surgery, Nephrology, Pulmonology/Critical Care Responsibilities TeleHospitalist service utilized for overnight coverage No night shifts, no call, no procedures and no codes Average census of 12 patients per APP Blocked scheduling Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling Community Details Sioux City has grown to be one of Iowa’s largest cities – and its meteoric rise isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • Inpatient experience required
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • TeleHospitalist service utilized for overnight coverage
  • No night shifts, no call, no procedures and no codes
  • Average census of 12 patients per APP
  • Blocked scheduling
