Hospitalist/Nocturnist
About The Position
Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague, MN is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist team in a Nocturnist role. Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience. This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service. You may expect a busy practice in a physician led financially stable organization, committed to both high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Primary responsibility to our 25 Critical Access Hospital with a Transitional Care Unit in New Prague, MN. Opportunity may exist to pick up additional shifts at any of our other Minnesota Health System Hospitals.
Requirements
- Must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent.
- Must be eligible for Minnesota medical license and Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification.
- Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service.
- Provide 24-hour, 365 coverage as part of a regional team of Hospitalists.
- Provide back-up assistance in the ED for resuscitations/trauma red (only expected to use HIM skill set).
- Work nocturnal shifts only, with some opportunity to support day shifts as they become available.
- Complete 161 shifts yearly.
