About The Position

Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague, MN is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist team in a part-time role. Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience. This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service. You may expect a busy practice in a physician led financially stable organization, committed to both high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Primary responsibility to our 25 Critical Access Hospital with a Transitional Care Unit in New Prague, MN. Opportunity may exist to pick up additional shifts at any of our other Minnesota Health System Hospitals.

Requirements

Must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent.
Must be eligible for Minnesota medical license.
Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification.
Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service.
Provide 24-hour, 365 coverage as part of a regional team of Hospitalists.
Provide back-up assistance in the ED for resuscitations/trauma red (only expected to use HIM skill set).
Work nocturnal shifts, with some opportunity to support day shifts as they become available.
Fulfill 161 shifts required yearly.
