About The Position
Ellis Medicine is seeking a full-time Hospitalist APP to join our collaborative and supportive inpatient team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP or new graduate looking to practice alongside hospitalists and a multidisciplinary care team in a well-supported hospital medicine environment. Our APPs play an integral role in the care of hospitalized patients, working collaboratively with physicians while managing a dedicated patient census. The practice offers a predictable schedule, strong physician support, broad specialty resources and no required procedures.
Requirements
- Current NP or PA certification
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Hospital medicine or inpatient experience preferred but not required
- New graduates are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including: Evaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients
- Daily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans
- Admission and discharge management
- Coordination of care with physicians, nursing, consultants, patients and families
- Communicating treatment plans with patients and families
- Participation in multidisciplinary care planning
- Appropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services
- Providing high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care
