Must be at least 18 years old.

• Willingness to complete screenings and training

• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Do not provide medical advice or care
• Represent MCCH positively in the community
• Completion of MCCH Volunteer Orientation
• Department-specific training
• Annual compliance training
• Ongoing adherence to hospital policies

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and assist with wayfinding and general inquiries
• Serve at information desks, welcome areas, or waiting rooms
• Deliver non-clinical items such as flowers, mail, or comfort supplies
• Transport patients by wheelchair, as assigned and trained
• Provide companionship and emotional support as appropriate
• Assist departments with clerical or administrative support
• Support hospital-sponsored events or special projects
• Communicate concerns to appropriate hospital staff
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
