Hospital Therapist
About The Position
We are currently seeking a full-time, evening shift clinician for the Intake Department. This role involves assisting the Hospital Therapy team by providing individual, group, and family therapies, as well as case management services. The position also includes recommending and implementing therapeutic interventions for individual clients and program development, functioning as the therapist for patients and families with the psychiatrist as clinical team leader. Additional responsibilities include cross-training in Utilization Management, completing insurance certifications for hospital stays, conducting clinical interviews, recommending appropriate levels of care, and planning for aftercare, including safety planning.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Provisional License.
- Master's Degree.
- PLPC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW for the State of MO.
Responsibilities
- Provide occasional individual, group, and family therapies.
- Provide case management services.
- Recommend and implement general therapeutic interventions for individual clients and overall program development.
- Function as the therapist for patients and families with the psychiatrist as clinical team leader.
- Cross-train/work in Utilization Management, including completion of certifications with insurance for hospital stays.
- Conduct clinical interviews and recommend levels of care consistent with presenting treatment needs.
- Plan arrangements for aftercare, including safety planning.
- Assist the Intake Manager in planning, coordination, and evaluation of daily activities of the Intake Department.
- Triage emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Conduct intake assessments.
