Hospital Therapist
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Crittenton Children’s Center in South Kansas City, MO is seeking a Hospital Therapist to join our team. This position provides individual group and family therapy as well as case management services, recommends and implements general therapeutic interventions both for individual clients and for overall program development, and functions as the therapist for patients and families with the psychiatrist as clinical team leader and will provide for additional work functions in the area of Utilization Management. We are seeking Hospital Therapists with experience working with children. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the system and processes of mental health care. We are looking for someone with great communication and written skills with a warm, caring attitude. To be successful in this role, you must be detail oriented, efficient, adaptable, and capable of multitasking. This position requires you to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
Requirements
- Master's degree and applicable MO license (LMSW, LPC, PLPC, LCSW)
- Experience working with children
- Strong knowledge of the system and processes of mental health care
- Great communication and written skills
- Warm, caring attitude
- Detail oriented, efficient, adaptable, and capable of multitasking
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
Nice To Haves
- Experienced professional who has worked with children preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct Individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy
- Formulate treatment plans
- Formulate discharge plans
- Plan arrangements for aftercare
- Write recommendation letters
- Provide individual group and family therapy as well as case management services
- Recommend and implement general therapeutic interventions both for individual clients and for overall program development
- Function as the therapist for patients and families with the psychiatrist as clinical team leader
- Provide for additional work functions in the area of Utilization Management
