About The Position

Daniels Health is looking for a Hospital Service Technician to join their team and help support their assigned hospital with critical medical waste services. This is a hands-on role that involves being on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day. The role requires 32-34 hours per week, offering flexibility. The technician will work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation. This includes inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, entering procedural spaces, and working around sensitive equipment and patients. The job involves lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day. The technician will also maintain inventory of containers, ensure all areas are stocked and organized, and use a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with the team. Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service, and representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting, and enjoys active, on-the-go work.
  • Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role.
