About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking a Part-Time Hospital Service Technician to support AdventHealth Port Charlotte with critical medical waste services. This hands-on role involves working directly with hospital staff in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation. The position requires physical fitness, including lifting and pushing carts, and attention to detail for paperwork and procedures. It is a part-time role, working 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) for approximately 24 hours, offering flexibility and an opportunity to supplement income. Daniels Health is a healthcare service company focused on providing safety systems and medical waste collection, aiming to reduce needlestick injuries, improve infection control, and reduce environmental burden.

Requirements

  • Someone who’s physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting, and enjoys active, on-the-go work.
  • A team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures.
  • A can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role.

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
  • Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas—this includes entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
  • Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
  • Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
  • Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
  • Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
  • Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
