About The Position

This role at St. Louis Children's Hospital involves providing quality food service to cafeteria customers, ensuring speed of service and customer courtesy. The Food Service Worker II will perform various food service functions including food preparation, setting up service areas with food, utensils, and garnishments, portioning food, serving, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with customer requests. The position requires a positive attitude and a love for children. A daily pay option is available.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years of experience
  • No supervisor experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner, and follows food safety and portion guidelines.
  • Ensures work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during and after shift.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
  • Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
  • Accurately assembles meals according to the menu, diet order and correct protocol.
