About The Position

Securitas is looking to build a flex team of accommodating officers for Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. Ideal candidates will be adaptable to multiple schedules, eager to learn, and ready to hit the ground running. Candidates must be available to work weekends. Our Healthcare Security Officers work closely with patients and hospital staff. The right candidate for this highly rewarding job will be compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated!

Requirements

• No security experience necessary.
• Interest in healthcare, criminal justice, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Continuous movement throughout patient care areas for most of the shift.
• Regular transitions between rooms, units, and equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasional lifting, repositioning, or assisting patients using proper equipment and team support.
• Respond safely to confused, disoriented, or combative patients using de-escalation techniques and team protocols.
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs, urgent situations, and shifting workflows.
• Use of PPE (Masks, gloves, gowns, etc.) depending on patient condition.
• Utilize provided training and safety tools, including equipment for safe lifting, de-escalation training, and compliance education.
