Security Officers - $21+/hr
About The Position
Securitas is hiring for multiple Security Officers to help keep their resort client's site safe in Ludlow, VT. This is a new client with an official start date of October 1st, 2026. The role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. Security Officers preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. They will also provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers. Securitas is a global company with a clear corporate culture and purpose, driven by values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. No experience is necessary, and training will be provided. This is a NON-SMOKING property, meaning no smoking of any kind is permitted from any officers on or off duty.
Requirements
- Able to walk up to 5 miles per shift - very large property inside and out
- Proficient with computers and digital reporting
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Dependable, punctual, and observant
- Comfortable initiating conversation and providing verbal engagement (e.g., greeting all who pass)
- Vermont Guard Card or the ability to obtain this prior to starting work
- Valid driver's license AND clean driving record
- At least 18 years old

Responsibilities
- Access control
- Interior and perimeter patrols
- CCTV monitoring
- Customer service and visitor support
- Logging Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports
- Vehicle patrols
- Occasionally dealing with de-escalating unruly crowds in a professional manner
- Activate and follow site emergency protocols
- Support evacuations, lockdowns, and drills
- Serve as liaison to client contacts and first responders
