Hospital Security Guard - PT (Weekend Nights)
About The Position
Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are devoted to providing all members of our community with premier-quality health care in a compassionate and inviting environment. We are seeking a Hospital Security Guard to join our team! This is a part time role. Hours would be Friday and Saturday nights (8pm to 8am). Variable hours may be available.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable relevant experience
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Responsibilities
- Monitoring visitor entering and exiting the building
- Ensuring the safety of the hospital's property and personnel
- Knowing all site-specific policies and procedures
- Implementing emergency response activities as appropriate
- Providing superior customer service
