Hospital Registered Nurse
About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide dialysis care in a hospital setting for patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney conditions. This fast-paced, collaborative acute-care nephrology role supports the dialysis program at Northern Westchester Medical Center in Mount Kisco, Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, and New York Presbyterian Hospital in Bronxville. The nurse works with patients in ICU, CCU, ED, and other acute-care units, and may rotate among facilities as needed. The schedule is three days per week, including every other Saturday, with a 7:00 AM start time. Regular and on-call shifts may include weekends and holidays, and daily schedules may change based on patient needs. No dialysis experience is required; paid training is provided.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Must pass a color vision test; accommodations are available.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required by hospitals in the program, which may include a booster when eligible.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg experience is helpful but not required.
- CNN/CDN certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis.
- Collaborate with hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff.
- Monitor patients, adjust treatment, and ensure quality outcomes.
- Support and oversee patient care with the help of PCTs.
- Adapt quickly in a dynamic hospital environment.
