About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role performs skilled specimen collection, provides exceptional customer service, and serves as a face of the company. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. The work schedule is third shift, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with days varying Monday through Friday and weekend and holiday shifts. The schedule is 3 or 4 days on followed by 3 days off.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
A phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is required in lieu of work experience.
Proven record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Comfort working with minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
