About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for an 8-week contract opportunity with a leading acute care hospital in Bakersfield, CA. This assignment is for a Day Shift role, involving 10-hour shifts for a total of 40 hours per week. The role requires active participation in medication order verification, supporting pharmacy operations, collaborating with healthcare professionals, ensuring safe medication use, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Active California Pharmacist License in good standing
- Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
- Epic experience within the last year required
- Cerner experience required
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical services
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
- Ensure safe medication use and regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation and records
