About The Position
Northern Light Mercy Hospital is seeking a per diem Hospital Medicine APP (nurse practitioner or physician associate) to join its established inpatient medicine team in Portland, Maine. The role is part of a collaborative, patient-centered team. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of post-certification experience. The position offers day shifts from 0645 to 1845 and night shifts from 1845 to 0645, with preference given to candidates available for night shifts. The ICU is closed, with critical care providers on site. The patient load is described as manageable, and the team has strong specialty support for timely consultations and comprehensive patient care. The work environment is collaborative and team-based, with a focus on quality, safety, and provider well-being. Compensation is $75.00 per hour. The stated compensation range reflects what Northern Light Health anticipates relying on when setting wages and may not include additional compensation elements such as call pay or leadership stipends.
