Hospital Medical Leader or Associate Veterinarian
About The Position
We are seeking a Hospital Medical Leader or Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Petco. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest level of patient care and client experience, driving continuous improvement in clinical skills, and cultivating a supportive, respectful, and collaborative work culture. As a leader, you will review hospital P&L and partner with medical and operations field leaders to drive hospital performance, efficiency, and exceptional care quality. Our Vetco Total Care hospitals are fully equipped with the latest technology, enabling you and your team to deliver the highest standards of care for routine, diagnostic, and complex procedures. You will have the opportunity to grow as a practitioner and leader with paid continued education and leadership training, practicing true autonomous medicine. Building relationships with pet parents and modeling respect and empathy are key aspects of this role, supported by local medical directors and a team of licensed and trained veterinary technicians and assistants. Requirements
- Veterinarian license
- Experience in medical leadership
- Ability to practice autonomous medicine
- Skills in routine, diagnostic, and complex procedures including radiographs and ultrasounds, dental extractions and prophylaxis, spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
- Proficiency with cloud-based practice management and records software, digital and dental x-ray, Idexx, Butterfly iQ + handheld ultrasound, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, VMED Vet-Dop2 Doppler Blood Pressure System and VETSCAN IMAGYST.
