About The Position

Vet et Nous is a multidisciplinary team composed of veterinarian both generalists and specialists operating at high rank whose mission is to take care of client’s pets as if they were our own. Our teams are split in 3 emergency and reference centres open 24/7 and several general practice hospitals and clinics in the greater Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and Quebec region. Important pillar of the team, your leadership and business vision allow you to ensure prompt and efficient execution of tasks. To ensure the financial growth and operational efficiency of the hospital, you ensure that operational controls and administrative procedures are in place and respected.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working in a clinic, on the floor.
  • Mastery of French, both oral and written.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Stress management and organizational skills.
  • Autonomy and good priority management.
  • Teamwork.
  • Good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures in collaboration with the management team and ensure the team follows employee handbook policies.
  • Plan equipment needs for the hospital and submit them to the regional director.
  • Ensure all requested reports (weekly, monthly, yearly) are provided.
  • Ensure the price list is up-to-date and reviewed as needed.
  • Forecast and conduct inventories.
  • Prepare business plans and review them quarterly.
  • Prepare a strategic plan annually.
  • Ensure the proper follow-up of the complete staffing process (recruitment, onboarding, follow-up, and termination).
  • Develop the hospital's human resources (talent management, skills development, etc.).
  • Ensure the implementation and follow-up of performance management and the disciplinary process (if necessary).
  • Plan and lead various meetings with employees and the management team.
  • Ensure the implementation of a comprehensive training program and promote continuous training.
  • Keep employee Workday profiles up-to-date.
  • Ensure a plan for employee recognition is in place.
  • Approve salary changes.
  • Manage various conflicts and ensure the mobilization of different groups.
  • Implement best management practices.
  • Ensure the functionality and good condition of the premises and equipment.
  • Optimize resources.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance program.
  • Ensure the profitability of the company and its growth in collaboration with shareholders.
  • Develop budgets and business plans and regularly follow up with the management team.
  • Implement and monitor control measures to ensure billing, expenses, budgets, and business plans are respected.
  • Ensure follow-up and control of accounts receivable.
  • Develop and maintain the website, social media, etc.
  • Make efforts at all levels to improve the customer experience.
  • In collaboration with the management team, resolve customer issues and ensure good communication with clients.
  • Constantly seek new ideas to promote the hospital, involving available resources.
  • Maintain good relationships with our suppliers to maximize their support.
  • Attend meetings with the regional director.
