About The Position

We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician II, also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist. A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety codes to support patient care and hospital operations.

Requirements

  • Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Five (5) years experience in healthcare maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC repair experience or training
  • Plumbing experience or training
  • Electrical systems experience or training
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention training

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and plant infrastructure—while troubleshooting issues using schematics and blueprints
  • Perform regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns, like lubricating motors, testing generators, or checking emergency lighting
  • Patching walls, painting, installing fixtures, or even minor carpentry or electrical work
  • Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining accurate equipment logs, adhering to safety standards, and driving as needed for company business
