About The Position
Auburn Village seeks an experienced healthcare professional to be our Hospital Liaison. This role is for an accomplished healthcare marketing representative who is a "people-person" and enjoys strengthening existing relationships and establishing new ones. The ideal candidate will have a nursing, therapy, or healthcare marketing background. We are seeking a dynamic, engaging individual with long-term healthcare experience to be the face of our community, capable of nurturing current relationships and building new ones within the healthcare communities. You'll be working with a collaborative team focused on promoting Auburn Village as the premier skilled nursing facility in the northeastern Indiana area. Our nursing and therapy teams are dedicated to providing outstanding patient outcomes. Located just 20 minutes north of Fort Wayne, you will represent a newly renovated, well-respected skilled nursing facility committed to the highest standard of short and long-term healthcare.
Requirements
- Experienced healthcare marketer with established track record in sales and relationship building
- Knowledge of area hospitals and other local healthcare organizations
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse or other clinician with marketing experience preferred
- Experience with physician and hospital staff relationship development
- Sales and marketing experience with regard to generating referral sources
- Good understanding of private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid benefits as they pertain to skilled nursing
- Open to occasionally being on-call evenings and weekends to ensure patient placement is facilitated
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, social workers and physicians in a specified hospital territory to generate qualified referrals
- Recommend referrals that lead to successful admissions to Auburn Village
- Review and assess potential patients for admission to facilities
- Meet with families and patients at facilities to assist with admission
- Assist facility with promotional events including open houses, health fairs, etc.
